Stella MacLean Readers' Corner Dear Reader,

It's so nice to have you visit this part of my website, a place devoted to readers like you. As a writer, writing a story that you will enjoy is the whole point of being an author. Yeah, the money helps, but it's not really what motivates me when I'm alone with my computer working on a story. I begin the story by letting you in on what's happening with the characters. And all the while, I'm thinking about how you would react if you were in the same situation as the characters in my story.

Take Heart of My Heart, for instance. How would you react if the one man you'd always loved married your best friend? Would you ever be able to forgive him? Or her?

These are all questions that Heart of My Heart deals with as it makes its way to the conclusion of what happens when two people spend a lifetime loving one another.

So, now, it's your turn. I want you to take this opportunity to write your thoughts in the space below. I'd like you to tell me, in 300 words or less, what kind of story you enjoy. What makes a character memorable to you? Why are you drawn to certain types of stories?

You don't have to answer these questions. In fact, I'm sure you'll have ideas of your own about what you want to say. Whatever you decide, please include your comments in the space provided below. Periodically, one of the stories submitted will, with the writer's permission, be featured here in the Readers' Corner.

I look forward to hearing from you.

This is not about writing, this is about friendship, a subject often found in writing. My name is Marg Dorcas. Stella -- As someone who has known you all your adult life, I think you are selling your self short when you say you have no official bio... Believe me folks, ... This woman is much more than the beautiful blond you see in the picture in "About me" .. This is a survivor... a wife, (of more than 40 years) a daughter,( who lost her dad earlier than she would have liked and who survived a complicated relationship with her mother and siblings, a sister of three other females (a challange for anyone!) a registered nurse, a university graduate who went back to school when her children were young, a chartered management accountant, a manager of a large ambulatory care program in a regional hospital, a member of Romance Writers of America that has served on the executive of that organization... a grandmother of 5 including a set of twins, a chronic pain survivor who is also writing a book for individuals living with chronic pain... and a very best friend to many!!! This is no dumb blond... This is the real thing!! You can believe in her stories as when you know..."The rest of the story" ... you will know her stories are a reflection of snipits of real life she knows and understands as she has lived the experiences .....

Marg
